On the outskirts of San Lorenzo a Linari there is plenty for places to venture to. In the Montagnola Senese, a corner full of enchantment awaits you: a mostly hilly territory immersed in woods of holm oaks, downy oaks, maples and chestnut trees, which hides some treasures from the Romanesque period. Follow the road through the hills to reach the Pieve di Pernina, dedicated to St. John the Baptist: after visiting this splendid medieval building, you can delight in your picnic sitting undisturbed on the lawn, which opens onto a spectacular view of Siena and the entire countryside.
A few kilometres from the provincial capital, you can also find not too challenging trekking routes, concealing natural treasures to explore. Colle di Val d’Elsa is the ideal location for a little adventure. From the bridge of San Marziale a trail begins, skirting the Elsa river and taking you inside a real flourishing and verdant river park. Along the route there will be plenty of open spaces where you can give yourself a moment of relaxation, perhaps dipping your feet in the cool waters of the river.
In summer, every opportunity is good to be in the open air. Sienese nature is full of wonders that deserve to be known and experienced slowly: staying at San Lorenzo a Linari ensures a total full immersion in the nature.
